That girl, with an amazing awareness.
Scared and mixed up by feelings, emotions and thoughts.
“I don’t want to jog this horse anymore”, she said after his hindfoot slipped away in the sand.
“How come?”, I asked, to give her an opportunity to speak up for herself.
“It feels weird. Do you know if he’s okay?”, she asked me.“What do you know?”, I said.
“I don’t know”, she answered.
“And if you would know, what do you know?”… A river of words came out of her mouth and she came up with possibilities.
Playing with the energies of taking her power back.
The horse guiding her through the emotions she felt.
“Maybe you can ask him with your superpower if he wants to jog?”, I said.
And there, on that Saturday afternoon, that horse was jogging at his best and that girl with a smile on her face said: “I’m a horse whisperer”.
While bringing the horses to the pasture, she said:
“I feel so much and when I go to bed, I see all kinds of energies”.
We ended up sitting on the ground. Acknowledging her awareness. The horses facilitating her by creating a safe space. Sobbing, she started to talk about her experiences.
There we were, sitting in the pasture, drawing with little branches in the dirt, talking to the grass, apologizing that we were sitting on them. The horses guarding over us.
“What do you need, when you go to bed?”, I asked.
“I don’t know”, she said.
“And if you would know, what do you know?”. And again she came up with amazing ideas.
Playing with some tools to work her ideas out, the horses heads lowered and their eyes half closed.
And then…. She looked me straight in the eyes and said: “So actually it is a gift…?”
With the simple ingredients of nature, horses, fun, play, acknowledging and being non-judgmental, she was the answer to her own questions.
She jumped up with a smile on her face and ran to her pony. “Look, my pony can bow”, and we continued playing…
And if you would know, what do you know…?
